Building a Platform for International Exchange and Promoting Global Green Development The First Green Development Forum was Concluded with Great Success in Shenzhen
Hosted by the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP), co-organized by the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel (SCIEP) and Bio-Thera Group, the International Exchange for S&T Professionals - Thematic Event on Green Development & the First Green Development Forum was successfully held in Shenzhen on April 27-28. Harnessing the intelligence of global top-notch talents in science and technology, the Forum is committed to playing an active role in building an international academic exchange platform, collaboratively promoting the green transformation towards economy and society, and advancing the sustainable development of humanity.
The Forum consisted of opening ceremony, plenary session, thematic sessions, professional exchanges, and on-site visits, with 40 leading scientists and academicians from including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, Canada, Sweden, Portugal to deliver speeches and have discussions on four academic topics regarding green development: innovation of intelligent manufacturing, science and technologies in cutting-edge materials, new energy and sustainable development, and bio-pharmaceutical industry development, sharing the latest research results, development trends and practical experiences. There were also 300+ participants from scientific research institutions at various levels, younger-generation scientists, and technical experts of business sectors from all over the country.
Moreover, on-site visits were organized for specific areas of expertise, the participants conducted on-site investigations and surveys in scientific research institutions and high-tech enterprises, including Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, Shenzhen Industrial Innovation Center for Engineering Biology, NIO, Lenovo, SEVB, and BTR New Material Group. Through these visits, the participants had a more profound knowledge of the practices and achievements of Shenzhen and its neighboring areas in the green development, thus making it possible for more international exchange, cooperation, and exploration in green science and technology.
